Virgin Galactic is launching its first commercial space mission

Virgin Galactic is set to launch its first commercial flight to the edge of space, carrying Italian Air Force-funded passengers. The mission will involve the release of the VSS Unity spaceplane from the VMS Eve mothership. The flight will last approximately 1.5 hours and will include moments of weightlessness for research purposes. The company has sold around 800 tickets for future space tourism missions.
