Why A Mysterious Monolith In The Utah Desert Is Now On Every Conspiracy Theorist’s Bucket List

A week ago, state workers from the Utah Department of Public Safety were counting bighorn sheep from a helicopter in a remote area of southeastern Utah when they spotted a gleaming metal object in a red-rock canyon. The crew landed and got out of their aircraft to check out the structure, which stands roughly 12 feet tall and is made of a smooth, shiny, silvery metal.

The crew said there was no obvious indication of who might have put the monolith there.
