Workers and trade unions have called these reforms anti-working class, pushing India back to the British era when slavery was a norm.

Gig workers and platform workers are not defined as unorganised workers, even though millions of Indians are employed as such. Workers employed on a fixed-term basis may be terminated on the completion of their contract. In other words, they may be terminated from service without any just and reasonable cause.
