World Bank agrees to provide $600 million in financial assistance to Sri Lanka

The World Bank has agreed to provide $600 million in financial assistance to Sri Lanka, the island nation said on Tuesday. In a statement, Colombo said that the World Bank has agreed to release $400 million 'shortly'.
The statement further added that the World Bank would continue to help Sri Lanka to overcome the ongoing economic crisis in that country - the worst it has faced so far.
