World Hemophilia Day 2021: Understanding The Advancement In Hemophilia Treatment

Haemophilia is a rare genetic bleeding disorder in which blood cannot clot properly, leading to extensive bleeding caused by a cut or wound. Health experts believe that approximately 80% of Indians with serious blood disorder are not diagnosed due to a lack of proper diagnosis.

The World Federation of Hemophilia promotes April 17th of every year as the world Hemophilia Day. This year's theme is ‘adapting to change' in view of so many challenges that the PWH across the world had to endure due to the COVID pandemic.
